Some of us are very accustomed to working from home. I’ve spent a significant portion of my life as a freelancer, which has given me a lot of freedom to control my own career and determine my own hours. I’ve also spent a lot of time working in various office environments which have introduced me to new, like-minded individuals that I’ve turned into lifelong friends. Since the pandemic really ramped up both of those jobs are now out of my home. Which has had some big plusses but also some big minuses. It’s much harder now to remain calm with the tumult within the house on a daily basis, the usual day-to-day stresses of adulthood, and the normal stresses that work can provide.
A bright light has been shone on our mental health in the past couple of years. It’s important to find peace where we can and take care of ourselves. This will enable us to better care for our loved ones as well. I received a lot of inspiration and ideas from an article I recently read. It has lots of ideas that you can use to really get control over your mood and keep things calm. I recommend giving it a read.
